San Francisco Paralegal Association
eDiscovery Tech Virtual Summit

Learn about current eDiscovery tech in a judgment-free zone. View several platforms back-to-back, ask questions, and see which might be the best fit for your firm or practice!

Thanks for joining us on May 15th. We hope you enjoyed the presentations. If you weren’t able to join us or want more information on the tech or companies presented, please check out the resources.

Why focus on eDiscovery technology?

Many paralegals are tasked with either finding the companies to provide eDiscovery to their firms or become the eDiscovery expert. That often means having to learn on the fly about the eDiscovery process, technology, and what companies can provide the needs for their case. The SFPA eDiscovery Tech Summit is about providing paralegals the opportunity to learn the basics of eDiscovery, see demos of the current technology, and ask questions in a judgment-free zone.

Presentation time is 25 minutes. We recommend 15 – 20 minutes to demo and answer questions, with 5 minutes for a sales pitch.

AGENDA

Presented by: Proteus Discovery Group, Ryan Short & Ray Biederman

Before you can know what eDiscovery tech does, you need to know the basics of eDiscovery and the EDRM cycle. Don’t know what EDRM is? We’ll cover that too. This is a primer (or refresher) so you understand what tech means by TAR, CAL, and all the alphabet soup items in between.

Presented by: Trustpoint. One, Berkeley Doering and John Wilkinson

Are you running into more and more cases where collaborative data such as Slack, Teams, What’s App, and Hangouts are important in establishing the facts of the case? Trustpoint. One has developed a custom Relativity upgrade to make the process of reviewing and understanding the data more efficient, effective and reduces the cost of discovery. During our presentation, we will show you the solution, discuss how it would benefit you and your client, and answer questions from the group.

Presented by: ][ IPRO, Sharmarke Afgab and Lori Bregenzer

Presented by: Proteus Discovery Group, Ryan Short & Ray Biederman

DiscoveryMaster provides one unified platform for dynamic reporting on all projects in Relativity. Federated access across vendors enables visibility into every workspace and every individual piece of litigation. No more waiting for responses from multiple partners or vendors, and no more synthesizing differing terminology to understand what they’re actually telling you.

Presented by: Thomson Reuters, Alex Lubarsky, LL.M., Esq.

Reduce the unnecessary burden and cost of discovery with our award-winning eDiscovery Point and ediscovery services. Our modern technology and services are adaptable and streamline inherent complexities of today’s discovery.

Presented by: Dave Swider, Sales Engineer

Dave will show how DISCO’s ease of use, performance and value separate us from the competition and help legal practitioners obtain better outcomes for their client.  The slide deck will be but two slides and we’ll spend the remainder of the time showing DISCO and describing how it can reduce the cost of review, accelerate fact identification and do it all at a predictable cost.
